Organizations Team Enterprise
Organizations are how Team and Enterprise accounts manage members, subscriptions and licenses. The sidebar entry is the organization name set at checkout. Several org sections can exist at once.
An account that only holds an assigned Team or Enterprise license, and has no org or team role (owner, manager, assigner, viewer), does not see this section. The license is only on My licenses.
Organization sections
The Manage page is split into panels. Which ones appear depends on the tier:
- Licenses TeamEnterprise: assign licenses to users, or (Enterprise) hand them to a subteam
- Subscriptions TeamEnterprise: org subscriptions and billing
- Subteams Enterprise: create and manage subteams
- Roles Enterprise: who can administer the org
Creating a subteam adds a sub-page under the organization.
Licenses TeamEnterprise
Licenses can be managed on the organization, or (Enterprise) delegated to a subteam.
To let a subteam's manager or assigner assign a license:
- Select the license(s) in the organization's or subteam's Licenses panel
- Click Change team
- Select the subteam
- Confirm
Subscriptions TeamEnterprise
The subscriptions table matches My plan, for org-owned subscriptions.
Organization owners open the billing portal from Actions:
- Find the subscription
- Billing portal in the Actions column
- From the portal: payment methods, seat count (prorated for the rest of the cycle), invoices, cancel or renew
Subteams Enterprise
The subteams table lists subteams. Owners and managers can rename or remove them, and add new ones.
A new subteam gets a sub-page with Licenses and Roles, same idea as the org panels. Subteams have no Owner role; that exists only at organization level.
Roles Enterprise
Roles are dashboard permissions: who can manage the organization, its subteams, licenses and subscriptions.
A role is not a license. Adding someone as Manager or Viewer does not give them Exegol. Assign a license for that. An Owner might never run Exegol; a licensed user might have no admin role.
Organizations have four permission levels:
- Owner: everything, including subscriptions and billing
- Manager: licenses, subteams, and role assignment
- Assigner: can assign licenses. Cannot change subteams or roles
- Viewer: read licenses, subteams, members. Cannot change anything
Owner can reach the billing page for every subscription bought on that customer account: seats, payment methods, cancel.
To add administrative members:
- Open Roles
- Click Invite member
- Enter the email and choose a role
- Send the invitation
Misc
Renaming an organization
- Open the dropdown next to the organization name
- Select Rename organization
- Enter the new name
- Save
Abandoning roles
To leave an organization or subteam in the administrative sense:
- Open the dropdown next to the organization or subteam name
- Select Abandon role in organization/team
- Confirm
The last owner cannot abandon. Transfer ownership first and have the new owner remove the old one. Abandoning a role does not revoke a license. Ask a subteam or organization administrator for that.
